Voice, Dictation, and Write This
How to use hands-free commands and form dictation safely across the dashboard.
Voice-first in TARE means prominent, permission-gated controls for hands-busy lab work. It does not mean automatic microphone activation.
Setup
- Open Settings > Preferences.
- Enable voice-first LabOS and grant browser microphone permission.
- Use the voice command deck or wake phrase when you are ready to speak.
Dictating into forms
Click or tab into any text input, textarea, search box, or supported editable field. Say dictate or write this followed by the content.
Hey TARE, write this Flammables Cabinet Shelf A
If no form field is focused, TARE opens command search with your dictated text so you can navigate or ask instead of losing the input.
Confirmation-required examples
Delete location, move inventory, adjust quantity, finalize scan evidence, custody transfer, unlock, sign, and approval actions should prompt for confirmation rather than running silently.
