Scan Intake and Error Recovery
Use photo, video, or manual scan intake and recover safely if evidence finalization fails.
Scan Intake is the guided path for turning bench-side labels, bottles, boxes, and videos into inventory records with attached evidence.
Choose an intake mode
- Photo: best for labels, bottles, single packages, and quick bench capture.
- Video: best for scanning a shelf, cabinet, or batch of items.
- Manual: best when AI is unavailable or the label is unreadable.
If finalization fails
If you see "Unexpected error while finalizing inventory scan intake," TARE keeps the created item and shows a retry action for evidence finalization. Retry before starting a duplicate intake.
AI suggestions are optional
If AI suggestions are unavailable, continue with manual fields. The scan workflow should not block normal inventory creation.
