Creating and Publishing SOPs

Draft, review, and publish SOPs without bypassing approval context.

SOPs should move through draft, review, and effective publication states. Keep edits in the SOP workflow instead of replacing controlled content in another document system.

  1. Open SOPs and choose New SOP.
  2. Add purpose, scope, materials, safety notes, procedure steps, acceptance criteria, and references.
  3. Save the draft and ask the responsible reviewer to inspect the version before publication.
  4. Use the template-update flow when the SOP is meant to revise an existing controlled template.
  5. Publish only after review criteria are satisfied and the effective version is the one operators should use.

Controlled changes

If an effective SOP needs a correction, create a new draft or amendment flow. Do not ask operators to follow an unofficial copy while the dashboard still points at an older effective version.
