TARE simplifies chemical inventory management by combining a structured Add Item flow with scan intake, location hierarchy, and optional AI suggestions. AI can help fill details, but the inventory workflow continues even when suggestions are unavailable.
Smart Search
Try searching for "Acetone" or "67-64-1". TARE will automatically populate the molecular weight, formula, and density.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Navigate to Inventory and choose Add Item from the workflow actions.
- In the chemical or item search field, type the product name, CAS number, barcode, or supplier label text.
- Select the correct match from the dropdown.(This auto-fills the GHS safety data!)
- Enter the specific container details:
- Amount: e.g., 500 mL
- Location: e.g., Flammables Cabinet > Shelf 1
- Lot Number: (Optional) from the manufacturer label
- Expiration Date: (Optional)
- Click Save Item.

Use Ask TARE to explain the current inventory page, draft item details, or help interpret labels. Treat suggestions as a starting point and confirm regulated fields before saving.
